Episode 16: Travel Photography with Scott Kelby
Scott Kelby is known for many things: he’s The PhotoShop Guy who’s been leading workshops and classes for years as part of KelbyOne, he’s a talented photographer with a wide-ranging focus including sports, portraiture, automotive, travel and landscapes, and he’s a prolific author with well over 100 books to his name. The latest of his books is “The Travel Photography Book” has just been published by Rocky Nook and is packed with practical tips and a wealth of wisdom from decades of adventures. In this episode we have a nice long talk with Scott about travel, photography and the joys of mixing the two. It’s our longest episode yet, but we think you’ll appreciate how much fun it is to chat with a great photographer-educator who just can’t wait to help other people enjoy photography and travel as much as he does.
If you’re like us, you are more than eager to get out and travel. Two years of pandemic lockdowns and restrictions can leave one feeling a bit fidgety. As you wait for your next adventure, it’s the perfect time to polish up those rusty travel photography skills and gather some useful tips that will make your time in a new place as incredible as it should be. Scott Kelby’s new book is a great tool in this effort and listeners to our humble podcast get a generous discount on the book. Hint - you’ll want to save a little of that cash to pay your fixer and tip that concierge who will help you get some hard-to-get shots.
As with all of our episodes, we also record and produce video versions which we post to our YouTube channel. These are lightly-edited versions of the audio podcast, but the trade-off is you get to see our handsome faces while we opine. You’re welcome!
